The Orbtronics AP program focuses on introducing advanced participants to more dynamic engineering skills. These skills are meant to be the foundation to which participants can contribute to real-world projects. This program includes instruction in python programming, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using Fusion 360. The instruction is geared towards participants of ages 16 and older and shall be facilitated using a customized Orbtronics assembled kit which includes materials and components of more advanced complexity.

Upon the completion of their basic training in the specified software, students shall then be guided through the use of the proprietary Orbtronics robotics kit, which can be used for the construction of technical knowledge in the critical concepts involved in robotics, and gain pertinent industry skills. The program shall place a heavy emphasis on allowing students to participate in hands-on experiential and exploratory learning rather than an extended focus on theory.
